1. Open the door directly at the latch when linkage fails
The integrated manual release opens the door at the latch itself with no additional linkage — plan the mounting so the release stays reachable when the door is closed.
2. Fit the supplied bracket and cushioning device
Both come in the box; the bracket sets the standoff and the damper quiets closing — skip either only if the panel design replaces their function.
3. Mount via Ø4.5mm holes or M4×0.7 / 8-32 UNC threads
The 4001-family fixing pattern keeps panel prep identical across the series, which simplifies spare stocking.
4. Use manual-drive where opening must be tool-free
Choose this model for vehicle enclosures and equipment covers where crew open doors by hand during routine checks, not through a remote handle.
5. Hold the 2,600 N rating
Ultimate load is 2,600 N in both zinc-plated and stainless builds; verify the combined gasket and door weight load stays below it.
