Rod Control & Multi-Point Locking Systems

SL-A-2201-30 Multi-Point Rod Lock

The SL-A-2201-30 is a zinc alloy / stainless steel multi-point rod lock with a flush long-panel swing handle: one swing drives upper and lower locking rods for synchronized two- or three-point locking on tall enclosure doors. Padlock facility optional.

  • SKU : SL-A-2201-30

Compared with single-point locking, driving the door edge at two or three points markedly increases clamping force, vibration resistance, and gasket compression on tall or wide panels. Rods, guides, and end fittings are matched to the enclosure profile, with left or right-hand orientation and key or tool cylinder options. Rated IP65; REACH No.1907/2006 compliant.

How To

  1. 1. Check the cutout depth before ordering

The 30 mm body depth suits standard enclosure doors; confirm the cutout and panel thickness against the lock drawing.

  2. 2. Swing once to clamp both rods

One swing of the flush handle drives the upper and lower rods together for synchronized multi-point locking.

  3. 3. Use multi-point clamping on wide panels

Compared with single-point locking, edge clamping at two or three points increases clamping force and vibration resistance on tall or wide doors.

  4. 4. Specify padlock facility where needed

The optional padlock facility adds site security without a separate hasp.

  5. 5. Validate the build for the environment

The zinc alloy and stainless combination covers indoor rows and moderately corrosive bays; confirm salt-spray exposure on coastal or washdown-adjacent sites.
