Lift & Turn Compression Latches

SLC3-2540 Light-Duty Railway Compression Latch

The SLC3-2540 is the light-duty railway compression latch for interior panels and frequent-access doors, operated with a 7 or 8 mm square key. SUS304, rated IP65. Test reports on request.

  • SKU : SLC3-2540

Interior rail panels open many times a day, so their latch must be light to operate and quick to close. The SLC3-2540 is the light-duty member of our railway pair: same SUS304 body and square drive as the SLC3-2548, with hardware sized for interior service rather than underframe abuse.

It shares the platform with the SLC3-2548 (Ø24 mm cut-out, GH33 effective height, panels 1–15 mm), so one cut-out drawing and one spare-parts list cover both positions on the same vehicle. Test reports accompany orders on request; name the standard your project cites when you inquire.

SLC3-2548 or SLC3-2540 — which duty?

Heavy positions (underframe equipment doors, outer access panels) take the 2548; light positions (interior inspection doors, frequent-access panels) take the 2540. Same platform, same cut-out — one spare-parts list for the whole vehicle.

How To

  1. 1. Assign light rail positions the 2540

Interior inspection doors and frequent-access panels take the 2540; underframe and outer access doors take the 2548.

  2. 2. Share one platform across the vehicle

The 2540 shares the platform with the 2548 — Ø24 mm cut-out, GH33 effective height, panels 1–15 mm — so one cut-out drawing and one spare-parts list cover both positions.

  3. 3. Keep interior operation light

Hardware is sized for interior service rather than underframe abuse, so frequent open-close cycles stay easy.

  4. 4. Request test reports by standard

Test reports accompany orders on request; name the standard your project cites when you inquire.

  5. 5. Rely on the shared IP65 seal

The same SUS304 body and IP65 sealing protect interior panels at the same rating as the heavy partner.
