Rod Control & Multi-Point Locking Systems

SL-A-2226 L-Handle Multi-Point Rod Lock

The SL-A-2226 is an L-handle multi-point rod lock: the L-shaped long handle gives extra leverage for gloved or wet-hand operation, driving vertical rods for multi-point locking on large enclosure doors.

  • SKU : SL-A-2226

Compared with single-point locking, driving the door edge at two or three points markedly increases clamping force, vibration resistance, and gasket compression on tall or wide panels. Rods, guides, and end fittings are matched to the enclosure profile, with left or right-hand orientation and key or tool cylinder options. Rated IP65; REACH No.1907/2006 compliant.

How To

  1. 1. Give gloved hands real leverage

The L-shaped long handle gives extra leverage for gloved or wet-hand operation on large enclosure doors.

  2. 2. Drive vertical rods for edge clamping

The handle drives vertical rods for multi-point locking that clamps the door edge at two or three points.

  3. 3. Cover large doors that single latches miss

Multi-point clamping adds clamping force, vibration resistance, and gasket compression on tall or wide panels.

  4. 4. Fit the fleet with matched hardware

Rods, guides, and end fittings match the enclosure profile, with left- or right-hand orientation and key or tool cylinder options.

  5. 5. Verify the IP65 seal in service

The lock is rated IP65; re-check rod adjustment after transport vibration so the gasket line stays compressed.
