Rod Control & Multi-Point Locking Systems

SL-A-2234-3016 Multi-Point Rod Lock

The SL-A-2234-3016 is a zinc alloy multi-point rod lock with a flush long-panel swing handle: one swing drives upper and lower locking rods for synchronized two- or three-point locking on tall enclosure doors. Padlock facility optional.

  • SKU : SL-A-2234-3016

Compared with single-point locking, driving the door edge at two or three points markedly increases clamping force, vibration resistance, and gasket compression on tall or wide panels. Rods, guides, and end fittings are matched to the enclosure profile, with left or right-hand orientation and key or tool cylinder options. Rated IP65; REACH No.1907/2006 compliant.

How To

  1. 1. Match the 3016 variant to its cabinet family

The 3016 variant fits its enclosure series cutout and rod pattern; check the door drawing for the correct variant before ordering.

  2. 2. Drive upper and lower rods together

The flush swing handle drives both rods for synchronized two- or three-point clamping on tall enclosure doors.

  3. 3. Add the padlock facility for shared sites

The optional padlock facility lets crews lock the handle after service on utility and telecom cabinets.

  4. 4. Classify the environment before installation

Choose the body finish for the site's corrosion class and file the IP65 rating and REACH No.1907/2006 declaration with the project documents.

  5. 5. Verify clamping after transport

Re-check rod engagement and gasket compression after shipping vibration; multi-point drive holds the IP65 seal only when all points seat evenly.
